The nominations have been made, and we are on our way to electing our Student Council members for the 2014-2015 school year. A meeting will be held during lunch in room 24 on Tuesday, September 2nd, to familiarize our nominees with the election process, answer any questions that they might have, and provide them with their poster paper. Fifth graders will be expected to practice their completed speeches with Mrs. Rosales during lunch recess on Tuesday, September 9th. Fourth graders will be expected to practice their completed speeches during lunch on Thursday, September 11th. Election speeches will be presented to our 4th and 5th graders during an assembly on Friday, September 12th. The assembly will take place at 9:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Parents are welcome to attend. Voting will take place in individual classrooms directly following the assembly, and we plan to announce the results by the end of the day. Good luck to all of our candidates!
