Thanks to our Birney families, local businesses, and members of our community, Birney was able to raise $1,523 this past school year to benefit cancer patients at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. This money was raised in memory of Sarah Elizabeth Gomez (12/21/07 - 4/17/13), the cousin of one of our Student Council members.
Lorena Galaviz, the Birney Student Council member who inspired this fundraiser in memory of Sarah, presented our check to the Children's Hospital on Birney's behalf during the summer.
