Hello Room 24 Students and Parents,

     Students have been putting a lot of work into research lately, researching information about the whale that they are studying as well as about California's missions. This week students will use the information they've learned to type up their whale reports and begin their mission design. We will also continue our work with fractions, focusing on simplest form and comparing and ordering fractions.

     Our Lakers' Reading Challenge will come to an end next Friday, so please remind students to continue reading their chapter books nightly. They should be recording the books they read on their Lakers bookmarks so that they can turn them in next Friday for credit.

Hello Room 24 Parents and Students,

     Students are well into their whale research, and many will begin creating their whale reports this week. In math we have completed our unit on fractions and multiples, and this week we will begin work with fractions. Our mission PBL is progressing nicely, with groups researching to find out all they can about what a California mission is, where they were located, what they were comprised of, and why they were built. It promises to be yet another busy week in Room 24!
