Weekly Message 12/11 - 12/15

Hello Room 24 Parents and Students,
This will be a week of finalizing assignments and closing out units before heading off into winter break. We will not be having any homework this week. Homework will resume on January 8, 2018. If you feel like practicing skills learned over the break, please remember that you can log on to Front Row, Reflex Math, Spelling City, and code.org any time over the break.
Student Council has issued a challenge to our Birney classes. In light of the wildfires burning in Southern California, and the fact that they have destroyed many homes right before Christmas, they are challenging every class in the school to donate at least 5 new, unwrapped toys. The toys will be donated to our local Fire Station 25 for their Spark of Love Toy Drive. If you are able to donate anything, please do. Every little bit helps make a difference...
I would like to thank all of you for your help and support throughout the first part of the school year. It has passed so quickly! It is my sincere hope that you all have a peaceful and relaxing winter break, and that you get to enjoy your time together as a family. Here's hoping that 2018 brings all of you nothing but the best!
